Hi Julie,

The Genetic Families are determined by DNA testing.  The only way to know which Genetic Family you might belong to is to test the DNA of a male relative who carries The Dalton/Daulton surname, such as a brother or an uncle.  The DNA that is analyzed for our purposes, male Y-DNA, is passed from father to son.
