Anything on Ellen Dalton who arrived NZ May 1853
« on: 29 March, 2012, 21:11 »
Trying to find what happened to, and/or family connections to Ellen Dalton, who arrived in Auckland on the Cashmere, 9 May 1853. (That date is also given on this websites passenger list for NZ).
It is quite likely she was associated with the C.M.S. (Church Missionary Society), possibly as a school assistant.
Looking for her connections to the Williams family whom she seems to be traveling with on the same vessel.  There is a possibility her first initial may have been an 'H'.  Misses Eliza Jones and Mary Tomes were closely associated during the voyage.
Coldham, Morgan or Nelson could be other family surnames connected.
Thank you. G.W.
