Matthew Aylmer D'alton
« on: 24 September, 2012, 09:46 »

Hi All,

I am trying to find out information regarding my ggg grandfather Matthew Aylmer D'alton. I am not sure when or where he was born but he lived at Auburn Cottage Malahide Dublin. I believe he married a Maria Lyster on 14th May 1819 at Cloghran Swords Dublin.

Matthew and Maria had at least one son William D'alton. I am not sure of William's date of birth but he married Frances Isabella Ogrady on 14 April 1853 at Malahide Dublin. There may have been more children I have seen a birth of an Edmond born abt. 1821.

Not sure but think his religion was most likely to be C of I. I think he may have had some military connections as there is a Lieutenant Matthew Aylmer Dalton of the Sicilian Regiment listed in the Hart's annual army list from 1812-1816.

Thank you for any information you can offer.

Kind regards

Sandra
