I have been trying to trace my partners family back and have come to a stop with Emma(n) Butt nee? The 1881 Census shows her as wife to Henry Dalton, unfortunately I cannot find a marriage. Emma(n) is shown on various censuses as coming from Reading or Henley on Thames and i might have another record for Henry living in 1 Prospect Terrace, Rotherfield Greys, Henley on Thames in 1851 - birthplace unknown but listed as a Civil Engineer - profession given on Emma's son Henry's Marriage certificate for father although father named as William Butt. I have census details from birth of children Henry 1868 and Rosina 1869, Alas i have been unable to discover their birthplaces too - Can anyone help? David
