Title: Green Lake County Wisconsin Daltons
Post by: rrosengren on 13 July, 2013, 11:10
I just joined, because I am married to one of the many descendants of John Dalton b. 1817 in Belfast & Jeanette Blackwood. My husband is a Doyle & his grandmother was a Dalton.  The town of Dalton in Green Lake County, Wisconsin was named for the Dalton family (John & Jeanette Dalton) who established their farm in Green Lake County in 1851. I have photos of John & Jeanette & all of their children who lived to adulthood. I would be happy to share info with anyone who is also researching this Dalton line. I also have a correction to share for the John Dalton bio excerpted from Portrait and Biographical Album of Green Lake, Marquette and Waushara Counties of Wisconsin, published by Acme Publishing, 1890 – (Google books) John & Jeanette Dalton had 14 children & their first born child, Elizabeth died in 1924, rather than 1854.  I noticed this error in the publication when I came upon it & wanted to share this correction.
Thanks for the opportunity to collaborate!
